HISTORY
The food pantry Director, Pastor Joe Corrigan is assisted by a team of twenty-five+ volunteers who enable us to serve 170-230 client families or 700-900 individuals per week. This food pantry opened in March 2020 in response to extensive job losses and financial devastation of East Boston families due to the Covid epidemic. Financial, food, and volunteer support from Park Street Church sustained us for 1.5 years, followed by two City of Boston Resiliency Grants of $24,000 in 2021 and 2022. At that time, we were feeding up to 380 client families per week. As Covid subsided and jobs returned, our numbers drifted downward then back up to the ~200 families per week range.
NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS
English-Arabic translators, with basic English writing skills, Mondays 12 noon-2pm
Data Entry into a computer pantry software. WFH Weekly on your own time or join us
Strong persons able to lift 50 lb bags of produce and set up tents and/or tables

Contact: Joseph Corrigan, [email protected]
We give THANKS to our PRIMARY community partner, Food For Free. Every Monday, Food for Free delivers nutritious fresh produce and other foods that they rescue from a variety of donor sources, including farmers and food distributors. They strive to obtain foods desired by Central American, Moroccan Arabic, and Chinese families. In addition, they transport non-perishables from the Greater Boston Food Bank to us.
We also give thanks to additional community donors from whom we received cash, resources, or food from the past two years:
Park Street Church - financial support, volunteers
Park Street Preschool 3-year-old class - Provides a variety of treats to add to our bags for Thanksgiving (3 years).
Food Distribution Network - which provides chicken and sides for Thanksgiving meals (two years) .
Chickadee Spices - provided a variety of spices. Teas, and spice canisters (twice)
NOAH (Neighborhood of Affordable Housing) East Boston - provides feminine Hygiene products (monthly)
bosWell - provides free pantry software
Clayton Hancock, Nathan Skinner, Sarah Tindall, Meagan Hoogerhyde, and Matthew Christopher who performed a benefit concert - Soli Deo Gloria, an Evening of Bach, at Park Street Church, Nov. 2022.
Amazon Foundation - $10,000 in 2022 and $5,000 in 2023
